CARE home residents enjoyed an afternoon of musical entertainment thanks to the generosity of a local band.
Musical brothers James and Jeremy Chen were able to take advantage of a piano donated by the Wildcats of Kilkenny when they performed for people at the Ingleby Care Home.
The band's Mike McGrother handed over the electronic piano after hearing a plea from the home's management earlier this month.
Christine Wilson, activities co-ordinator at the home in Ingleby Barwick, said: “We are incredibly grateful to the Wildcats of Kilkenny for donating this wonderful piano so that our residents can enjoy music – not only performed by James and Jeremy, but other acts too.
“Music is such an important part of our activities plan here, and often is a time for people to get together and reminisce – or simply just enjoy listening.”
