ANTIQUE-LOVERS will enjoy the latest fundraising event to be held by specialist dementia charity.

Cleveland Alzheimer’s Residential Centre (Clevearc) is to hold an Antiques Valuation Lunch at Judges in Yarm on February 24.

The event will offer guests the opportunity to hear from a leading antiques expert Richard Edwards from valuers and auctioneers Addisons of Barnard Castle as well as bring along their own pieces to be valued following lunch.

Chairman of Clevearc Alan Kitching said: “This event is sure to be lots of fun, interesting and fascinating all at the same time. Who knows, we might uncover a treasure whilst we are there.”

For the £25 ticket price, guests will enjoy a two-course lunch with coffee and teas and an entertaining talk from Addison’s guest antiques expert. For an extra £5, guests are invited to bring along an antique to be valued (small in size is preferable). This could be porcelain, jewellery, small pieces of furniture or others.

Clevearc remains one of the country’s leading specialist centres for people living with dementia and has two specialist residential nursing homes, Kirkdale and Allison House, in Teesdale, Stockton as well as a day service at Guisborough.

Tickets for this event are limited and are available now on a first-come, first served basis. To secure a ticket contact Cleveland Alzheimer’s on 01642-611110.
