TIME is running out for people to get early door tickets for the Stockton Weekender music festival.

With more than 50 acts performing over the two days, including the Happy Mondays and hip-hop legends Public Enemy, there is music for all tastes.

Also on the bill are Shed Seven, Reverend & The Makers, Martha Reeves & The Vandellas and Peter Hook & The Light.

For this weekend, the Riverside site will turn from a dual carriage way and car park into a hive of music and comedy activity; with two outdoor stages, a cabaret tent, a children’s activity area, a shopping village and other regular festival attractions.

As well as the festival activities on Saturday and Sunday there is also an official warm up gig featuring critically acclaimed Newcastle quintet Lanterns on the Lake at The Georgian Theatre on Friday (July 25).

The line up also features Teesside acts Mouses and General Sherman.

Entry to the gig will be free to Stockton Weekender ticket holders - proof of a ticket will be required. Tickets will be £5 on the door for those not attending the festival.

Tickets for Stockton Weekender are priced £35 a day, £55 weekend, £85 for weekend and camping and £120 for VIP.

While Stockton Borough residents can purchase tickets at the discounted rate of £28 for day tickets and £44 for weekend tickets, in advance by quoting their postcode when booking.

Prices rise on the gate to £40 day and £60 weekend or £32 day and £48 weekend with the local discount.
