Pupils' pathway
PUPILS at Bishop Auckland's newest school have put their best feet forward to celebrate their official opening next month.
Colourful footprints trailing over walls at Woodhouse Close Community Primary echo the school's motto The Pathway to Success.
Children made clay models of their own feet which they painted in colours of the rainbow, the school colours, at workshops with ceramic artist Judy Caplin.
Images of butterflies and fish, designed to reflect the children's happy thoughts, were also used on the mural which has been placed at the school's entrance.
The new building was completed in time for the start of the September 2007 term and is being officially opened on June 19.
