THE principal of a college has gone back to the floor to learn a new skill during Apprenticeship Week.
Stockton Riverside College principal Dr Sujinder Sangha OBE, spent a day working at Cafe Sapore, under the watchful eye of restaurant owner Louise How and apprentice Adam Randall.
Adam's apprenticeship at the Cafe started last September and according to his boss, he has come a long way since then. "I love it, " he said. "I'm getting work experience and working towards a NVQ Level 2 Diploma in professional cookery at Stockton College on Tuesday nights too.
"It suits me, because it's really varied."
Dr Sangha, said: "Going back to the floor, working in an industry I have never worked in before, was an interesting challenge."
