A NEW charity store has opened for people hoping to pick up quality second hand furniture and electrical goods.
The British Heart Foundation shop in Stockton High Street has been stocked with items donated by the public, including televisions, washing machines, fridges and sofas.
Stockton Mayor Paul Baker performed the official opening on Tuesday.
David Ayre, the charity's area manager, said: "So far we've had a brilliant response from the local community and we are hoping that people will support us by coming in and having a look at the bargains available."
Anyone willing to donate goods is asked to call in at the store, which also offers a free collection service for large household items, or call 0844-848-9607.
