THEATRE students are to stage a murder mystery play to raise money for charity.
Two groups of teenagers from Stagecoach Theatre Arts schools, in Darlington and Yarm, will present Murder at the Cabaret, which tells of the demise of Fifi Lamarr.
In the show, the audience will be asked to solve the mystery, which takes place among a number of cabaret-style performances.
Stagecoach Theatre Arts principal Trudy Hindmarsh said: "The most senior students, aged from 15 years from our Stagecoach schools, in Yarm and Darlington, form the Further Stages.
"We try to give these experienced students a more liberal education, giving them more responsibility and chance to show initiative.
"This project was an attempt to give them an adult task of not only producing a show, but event-managing it too."
The group of 15 students will stage the production at the Dickens Inn, in Middlesbrough, to raise money for children's hospice Zoe's Place, at 7pm on Sunday.
