MORE than 20 suspected cannabis plants were seized during a drugs raid by police as part of a community clean up operation.
Officers executed a search warrant at a terraced house in Dean Bank, Ferryhill, on Tuesday morning.
Once inside the property they discovered the grow in an upstairs bedroom.
A male occupant of the house, who is in his 30s, was arrested for possession of the class C drug and was bailed until later this month.
The raid was carried out as part of Operation Relentless, a week long initiative that aims to help people in Ferryhill and Spennymoor feel safer.
The neighbourhood police team and partner organisations are working together to tackle residents’ concerns such as crime, anti social behaviour and environmental problems.
