UPDATED proposals for 200 new homes in Bishop Auckland will go on display at a consultation event this week.

Plans for the development in the Woodhouse Close area have been revised by County Durham Housing Group following initial consultations held in February.

Residents can find out about the amended proposals at Auckland Youth and Community Centre between 2pm and 6pm on Tuesday (April 17).

Housing group head of development and commercial property, Kate Abson, said: “The feedback we’ve had so far has been very helpful.

“It has allowed us to improve our proposals and I’m looking forward to discussing the updated plans with local people again.”

Changes include the development of a variety of new homes to meet demand in the area while some of the sites proposed for new homes have been amended after feedback from local people.

At the session there will be opportunities to see plans in more detail as well as speak to the team behind the development.
