A FITNESS instructor is holding a three-hour workout to raise funds to help secure the future of a village hall in the Trimdons.

Mum-of-two Elaine Pollock will lead a series of workout classes as part of the 'workout-athon' in aid of Trimdon Village Hall.

The 39-year-old exercise enthusiast and bodybuilder hosts a weekly Monday class at the community hub and is passionate about supporting it for the future.

Ms Pollock said: "I am trying to raise some valuable funds needed to ensure the village hall can continue to provide a base for vital community groups such as health and wellbeing, fitness, employability sessions and mother and toddler groups.

"I currently have ten entrants but would love to fill the hall and raise as much as possible for this valuable cause."

The event will take place in the village hall from 11am until 2pm on Saturday, April 21, and entry is £5, with all proceeds going back into the venue.

Participants are welcome to take part in all of the classes or can pick and choose the sessions they will most enjoy.

Ms Pollock is also keen to gain additional sponsors while sponsor forms for those taking part can be provided on request.

Refreshments available throughout for those wanting to take a break.
