Cubs give up sweets to help hospital

CUB Scouts saved their pocket money to raise £200 for the children's ward at Bishop Auckland General Hospital.
The 2nd Bishop Auckland Scout group gave up sweets after a talk on healthy eating and exercise by consultant paediatrician Dr Heather Smith. The money raised will be spent on scales to weigh babies. Dr Smith revisited the cubs to collect a cheque with sister Angie Boyes and nursery nurse Claire Henderson.
