YOUNG people from six and 18 will mark 100 years of Scouting on Sunday.
The 1st Ferryhill Scouts are hosting a service at St Luke's Church, Ferryhill, for Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers from across the Bishop Auckland district. The service will be led by the Reverend Keith Lumsdon, county chaplain for the Scouts.
In August, the district is hoping to link with Scouts around the world at a Sunrise ceremony when former Scouts and leaders will be invited to renew their promise.
For information on Scouting, telephone Ian Johnson on 0845-0944-084.
