A NEW on-line service has been launched to help immigrants in North Yorkshire who are considering applying for UK citizenship.
The online course is called Life in Great Britain and gives people the chance to practice answering the UK citizenship questions and to study the necessary information.
It contains the contents of three books - Life in the United Kingdom; Official Citizenship Test Study Guide and Passing the Life in the UK Test: Official Practice Questions.
It also provides a comprehensive glossary of words and phrases and links to relevant websites listed in the text.
The county’s executive member for adult and community services, Chris Metcalfe, said: "We hope this online service will help all those wishing to apply for UK citizenship gain the information they need to pass the test towards becoming integrated and active members of society."
The online course can be accessed in libraries or remotely at home through the County Council website on northyorks.gov.uk/index.aspx?articleid=3159
