Woman hit by police car is in stable condition


A 29-year-old woman hit by a police car as she crossed the road was today described as being in a stable condition.

The police car was on routine patrol when the accident happened at 10.30pm on Thursday on the east-bound carriageway of the A174 near Redcar, east Cleveland.

The woman, who lives on the South coast and was visiting family in the Cleveland area suffered serious head, spinal and pelvic injuries.

She was taken to The James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough and yesterday was described as critical but stable.

Its a shame how this paper asks you to "have your say" then deletes your opinions, Like I said in my previous but now gone post, Nothing will be done about the police forces record on thier driving ability.There are just way too many accident happening with the police and the public.Im sure this will be swept under the carpet.
