A PHOTOGRAPHER is trying to track down the mystery man who starred in one of his award winning pictures.
Glenn Humphrey captured the man throwing a stick towards the sea on Saltburn beach so that his dog could chase it.
The picture won the Best Landscape category in the Britain iS competition held by internet photograph library istockphoto and The Guardian.
He said: "I'm surprised and delighted to win this award, especially as I entered the winning photo just 15 minutes away from entry deadline.
"The real star of the show is Saltburn beach itself. I was pretty much in the right place at the right time. Everything seemed to fall into place without me having to work too hard, so there is a certain synchronicity to it."
The winning photo was taken at 11.33am on August 19 last year and Mr Humphrey is urging the man to come forward so he can give him a signed copy.
He said: "I'd love to know who the man in the photo is, and where he's from. He could be local, as his dogs are obviously not scared of running towards the sea. But, as the photo was taken last summer, he could just as easily be from anywhere else in the world and simply passing through while visiting family or friends."
