POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a teenager suffered a serious leg injury in a collision with a car.
The 15-year-old boy was left with a fractured ankle after the incident on March 8 at about 1.50pm on Albemarle Road in York.
The driver was in an orange car and stopped briefly to speak with the youngster before getting back into the vehicle and driving away without leaving details. Officers said the youngster is likely to need surgery.
Police are keen to speak with the driver of the vehicle and are appealing for anyone who saw the car to get in touch.
