BUDDING artists are invited to help create a giant sketch of York Minster this half term as part of the cathedral’s special animation week.
The event, from next Monday to Friday, offers participants the chance to sketch their favourite part of the Minster in a setting below the 13th-century Five Sisters Window.
The drawings will be added to a huge floor plan detailing each section of the cathedral, with the progress being captured by a time-lapse video which will be available on the cathedral’s website and social media channels.
In addition, youngsters an use the “Tagtool” station which allows participants to create a digital drawing on a special iPad and see it projected live onto the walls of the cathedral.
The activities run from 10am to 4pm.
