HARROGATE International Festivals is tempting audiences to join one of the most exciting showgirl artists in the world, Miss Tempest Rose.

The acclaimed House of Burlesque is returning to the town after a sell-out show at last year’s Spiegeltent, this time in the glittering surrounds of the Royal Hall, followed by a Silent Disco.

Innovative and bold, the Queen of provocateurs promises to titillate and tantalize in a rip-roaring, gin-soaked evening full of high-end glamour, joyful satire and creative cabaret.

Miss Tempest Rose said: “My shows are designed to appeal to anyone who likes their entertainment, smart, funny and sexy. Life is all about trying new experiences in my opinion, if you've heard of burlesque and are intrigued to see what it’s all about I promise you won't find a better introduction to this fabulous art form than the House of Burlesque. We had a wonderful time helping a lady celebrate her 80th birthday at our show in June and she left with a huge smile and her very own pair of nipple tassels as a gift from us. Don't be shy, come and see what all the fuss is about.”

The burlesque star worked as a professional actress and trained in classical acting, singing and dance before turning to burlesque after auditioning for cabaret troupe, The Kitten Club.

“I was blown away by the intelligence, sensuality, humour and confidence the performers had,” she said. “It was totally refreshing coming from the typecast world of traditional theatre.”

Miss Rose promises audiences a ‘great package of comedy, circus, cabaret and stunning glamour.’

“A House of Burlesque show is bold, entertaining, intelligent and fabulous and our audiences come out smiling and feeling great,” she said. “After this show they'll get to take that feeling on to the dance floor for a great party after with our Silent Disco.”

Post show, audiences will have the option to grab a pair of headphones with three DJs playing tunes from all decades and genres, to dance the night away in the golden surroundings of the Royal Hall.

Miss Rose added: “We adore visiting Harrogate and are polishing our tassels in anticipation of another night to remember with you all!”
