CONCERNS are growing for 20-year-old man who was last seen some two months ago when he was heading for the Continent.

Charles Luck was last seen by his family on June 12 at the station in his home city of York. He was leaving for London and intending to travel on to France.

Mr Luck is 6ft 4ins tall, of muscular build, with cropped light brown hair, and has a tattoo of a lion and rose on his left shoulder.

He was last seen wearing a green waterproof jacket, beige chino trousers, walking boots, and carrying a backpack.

A police spokesman said: "His family first called us on August 1 as they were concerned that they had not heard from him after he left to work in France on June 12.

"He told his family he would be out of contact for eight to nine weeks, due to the area where he was working. They called us again on August 13 to let us know that they had still not heard from him at the end of the nine weeks."

The spokesman added: "It has also been reported to the French authorities who have carried out local inquiries. He is believed to be in the Languedoc region, but there is no further information about where he is working/living.

"We urge anyone to contact us if they have heard from Charles."

Anyone who has seen or heard from him is asked to contact police immediately on 101 or email general.enquiries@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk.
