POLICE were called to the scene of a serious accident involving four vehicles outside York on Wednesday morning.
The accident happened on the A1079 and the road was closed between Main Street (Kexby) and Dauby Lane (Wilberfoss) while emergency services dealt with the situation.
Two people were taken to hospital, one with a serious leg injury.
The road has now reopened.
