FAMILY and friends of a woman who died from complications following a heart transplant will come together on the first anniversary of her funeral.
Amy Miller died on May 11 last year after undergoing the surgery she thought would provide the energy she needed to look after her three young children. The 35-year-old, from Wilton Rise, Holgate, York, was unable to pull through after undergoing surgery at Papworth Hospital in Cambridge.
She is survived by her three children Jessica, 15, Tinky, 11 and Charlie, six, who are being cared for by Miss Miller’s mum, Margaret.
The family are planning a Sunday Fun Day on May 21 at the Beagle pub, and will use donations to pay for the youngsters to go on holiday.
