POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an altercation between a driver and a man walking along a pavement.
Officers say at 8am on Monday, the driver of a large black car got out of his vehicle near the shops on Bishopthorpe Road in York and confronted and attacked another man walking on the pavement.
The driver got back into his vehicle and left in the direction of Scarcroft Road. He is described as a white man aged in his mid-40s.
Police are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
In particular, they are appealing for witnesses to this incident.
