A HOSPICE is calling on residents to lace up their walking shoes and help raise vital funds for the facility.
St Leonard’s Hospice in York is looking for walkers to challenge themselves and take on the ‘St Leonard’s Way’ walk on Saturday 6 May.
The 20-mile circular walk is an annual event, started by a group of walking enthusiasts in 1990 and has raised almost a quarter of a million pounds for the Hospice since.
The walk takes place in Bronte country, starting and finishing in Haworth, and incorporates part of the South Pennine Way. For more information or to book, contact Sarah Atkinson on 01904-777777.
