POLICE have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to after a brawl at a city centre pub.

A fight involving several men took place inside the Three Cranes pub in St Sampson's Square, York, at about 11.45am on February 2 and during the incident a number of men were ejected by pub staff.

Shortly after midnight a further incident of violence took place outside the pub in St Sampson's Square. Police attended and several men were arrested and have been bailed pending further enquiries.

Officers want to speak to the man pictured on CCTV as he may have important information that could assist the investigation.

He was described as having a shaven head and was wearing a long-sleeved beige or white coloured top at the time.
