A WOMAN motorist has died after her car was in collision with a lorry.
The woman, who was in her 30s, was at the wheel of a red Ford Ka when it collided with a lorry on the A168 just south of Boroughbridge at about 12.24pm today, Monday.
She was taken to Harrogate District Hospital but medics there were unable to save her. The driver of the lorry was uninjured but was said to be very shaken up.
Police, fire and ambulance services attended and the road was closed to allow emergency services to deal with the collision and to allow investigators to examine the scene. It reopened 4.05pm.
