A BOY who was airlifted to hospital after falling 15 feet down a stairwell at school is making good progress in hospital.
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance was called to Manor CE Academy in York last Friday morning after a student - named by the school as Euan Kindelan - suffered a serious head injury.
It is believed Euan, a Year 9 pupil aged about 13, fell backwards from a bannister down a stairwell, and he was taken by helicopter to Leeds General Infirmary.
The school took to social media and said Euan was “making good progress” and “his father thanks everyone for their support”.
Principal Simon Barber said the school was grateful for the support of the emergency services and kind words from people following Euan’s injuries.
“The school community has joined to share messages of love, prayer and support for Euan and his family,” he said.
“As a school we are planning a range of fund-raising activities for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance shortly after half term.”
