The digger scooping up the spilled potatoes on the A166
TONS of potatoes spilled from an overturned lorry blocked a North Yorkshire A-road for up to five hours on Saturday.
The A166 York to Stamford Bridge road was shut in both directions to enable a digger to scoop up the potatoes before the lorry was removed.
Police said no one was seriously injured in the incident.
