POLICE are appealing for help to trace this man caught on CCTV in connection with an alleged assault.
The incident took place at 3.30am on Monday, 22 August 2016 at the Drawing Board bar on New Street in York.
The victim had deep lacerations to his arm which needed stitches after he was pushed over a barrier and fell head first onto a glass. The man had gone outside to have a cigarette in the outdoor smoking area and chatted to a woman. He then approached the alleged attacker who was also standing outside and kissed his back.
The man turned around and pushed the victim causing him to fall head-first and land on the wine glass he was holding.
The man who was kissed then made a homophobic comment to the victim.
Police say they would like to speak to the man in his late 20s, he's between 5’ 10” and 6’ 4” tall, large muscular build with short brown hair. He was wearing a white shirt, dark jeans and shoes.
