A BIKER is seriously ill in hospital after his machine collided with a lamp post and a wall.
The 21-year-old was riding his blue and white Suzuki along Huntington Road, York, when the crash happened at about 10.25pm on Thursday, July 7.
The rider, a local man, was taken to Leeds General Infirmary with serious injuries, where he remains in a serious condition.
He was riding in company with a green Kawasaki motorcycle at the time of the collision and police are appealing for witnesses.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who saw either of the motorcycles riding before the incident, anyone who was in the area at the time or anyone who saw the blue and white motorcycle as it was moved from the scene after the collision.
Anyone with information is asked to contact 101, select option two and ask for Detective Constable Kirsten Aldridge or Traffic Constable Dave Seavers.
Alternatively email MCIT@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk or Dave.Seavers@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk
