Colleen Jarvis went missing last Thursday.
POLICE searching for missing Colleen Jarvis have found the body of a woman.
Officers cordoned off an area of St Nicholas Fields in York following the discovery at about 8pm on Monday.
Police had been searching for Colleen Jarvis, 55, after she went missing from her home in Burlington Avenue, York, at lunchtime last Thursday.
A formal identification has yet to take place however Ms Jarvis’s family has been informed of the discovery.
Investigations are still taking place but police do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
