POLICE are trying to reunite a corn snake with its owner after it was spotted slithering along a footpath in York.
North Yorkshire Police say they received a call on Tuesday, May 3 at 1.20pm from a concerned member of the public who had seen the one metre long orange snake on the slither along the path on Holgate Road, York.
Police attended and found a corn snake taking refuge in a near by hedge.
The snake, currently nicknamed Sammy, is currently being looked after by Acomb Pets.
