A SPECIAL invitation has gone out to ten people who are celebrating their 90th Birthday this year from the Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu.
The Archbishop is throwing open the gates of Bishopthorpe palace, near York, for a party at the palace.
The celebration on Saturday June 11 will mark the Queens birthday. Free tickets will be given to the first ten 90 year olds, along with a guest who contact the palace.
Applications should be made to Sandy Reynard, Bishopthorpe Palace, York YO23 2GE.
Guests can also buy tickets for the outdoor event which starts at 2pm for £20, under 12’s are £5 and under fives are free.
Organisers say people can bring along their own picnics although food will be available, and the event will be going ahead whatever the weather.
