A ROOFER had to be rescued by fire and rescue crews after falling from a property under construction.
The incident happened in Fulwith Mill Lane in Harrogate, North Yorkshire around 2.45pm on Monday afternoon.
A spokeswoman for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said the Yorkshire Ambulance Service joined fire crews at the scene.
"A man who was working on a roof fell, landing on second floor scaffolding. Fire and rescue crews worked alongside paramedics to rescue him and lower him to ground level," said the spokeswoman.
"We used the aerial ladder platform to get him down. He was handed into the car of road ambulance paramedics and transported to hospital, suffering leg injuries."
