TRANSPORT police have issued an e-fit of a man they wish to speak to in connection with a sexual assault.
A woman passenger was “inappropriately touched” during the incident on a train running between York and Durham.
Although details have only just been released the incident happened on October 8 between 7.30am and 8.15am.
The victim, a 26-year-old from York, boarded the train at York and sat next to the window. A man came and sat beside her and attempted to engage her in conversation before kissing her on the cheek. He then inappropriately touched her breasts.
PC Amanda Timlin said: “The victim, who is receiving counselling following the incident, was brave enough to come forward and report this incident.
“He has been described as Indian with a number of moles on his face and he was wearing a grey or black business suit.”
