A MAN died after being struck by a train on a railway near York this afternoon, November 23.
The incident happened shortly after 1.30pm close to New Earswick and trains on the York to Scarborough line had to be replaced by buses.
Police said the death was not suspicious and officers were working to identify the man and speak to his family.
