Police have discovered the body of a woman in a wooded area of York. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding her death
POLICE have discovered the body of a woman in a woodland in York.
Officers were called at 9.25am on Monday, November 9 to St John Playing Field, Windmill Lane, in the Heslington area of York.
Police went to the scene and found the body of a 23-year-old woman, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The wooded area was cordoned off while police conducted their investigation.
A police spokesman said enquiries were currently ongoing, but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
