A THIEF escaped with rings worth around £7,000 from an antiques shop in the heart of York.
The incident happened on August 29 between 12.30pm and 1.10pm at York Minster Antiques on College Street.
A dark brown velvet display tray holding 27 rings was taken. The rings have a total value of around £7,000 and are quite distinctive, particularly a diamond ring with an especially high setting.
