1 and a half tonnes: Amount overweight van that police stopped in North Yorkshire was
POLICE who stopped a van in North Yorkshire found it to be more than one and a half tonnes overweight.
What's more the vehicle was carrying fresh food and was not refrigerated, say North Yorkshire Police.
Officers from the force's Road Policing Group posted photos of the van on their Twitter feed with the following comment: "Stopped A64, 1.5 tonnes overweight. Worse still load contains fresh meat & other food in non refrigerated van..."
