A CYCLIST is seriously-ill in hospital after a fall from his bike on a North Yorkshire country road.
The 44-year-old man from Harrogate was riding a blue racing cycle on the B6451 at nearby Norwood towards the A59 from the direction of the Sun Inn when the accident happened at about 9.30pm on Monday, April 13.
Another cycle was following behind him when the rider lost control and fell from his bike, sustaining serious head injuries.
He was taken to Leeds General Infirmary where he underwent surgery and remains in a serious but stable condition. No other vehicles are believed to have been involved.
TC Steve James said: “I would like to speak to anyone who saw two cycles travelling along the B6451 between 9pm and 9.30pm on Monday. Both cycles were displaying lights and would have been clearly visible.”
Contact 101, select option two and ask for TC James.
