POLICE are trying to track down two drivers who helped at the scene of a collision in which an elderly woman died.

The 82-year-old pedestrian died in hospital after a collision with a silver Kia Picanto, driven by a 40-year-old woman, at the exit to the Odeon car-park in Harrogate on March 9.

Two cars travelling along Station Avenue from Odeon roundabout towards the Old Police Station stopped just after the collision at 10am and both drivers offered help to the injured pedestrian.

One of the cars was silver and the driver was wearing black trousers and a black jacket with short light coloured hair. The other car was a black convertible and the driver was wearing a brown jacket which was taken off and offered to the pedestrian.

Police are now urging the two drivers to forward.

“Even though they may not have witnessed the actual collision, any information they do have could assist with the investigation,” said a spokesman.
