AN UNRULY pair of grave robbers will be taking up residence at a tourist attraction in the region soon.

The York Dungeon will be staging a week of activities during this February half-term, when they stage a new show based on the gruesome activity of grave robbing.

Visitors will be greeted by a sinister character who is preparing for the hanging of the legendary Dick Turpin in York in his work searching for corpses to sell for anatomical research. Visitors will then be warned to be on their guard as they edge their way through the darkness and tombstones of the murky St George’s Cemetery.

Manager Helen Douglas said: “We are very excited about the introduction of the brand new characters and new Grave Robber Show that will undoubtedly bring a darker, edgier feel to the dungeon this half-term.

“The interactive show, which is based on York’s very real history, will enable people to step back in time to a gruesome era and enjoy an informative experience that is guaranteed to impress and entertain.”

From Guy Fawkes to Henry VIII, visitors to The York Dungeon will meet a variety of characters as they journey through 13 shows profiled at the attraction.
