A DRIVER who attacked another motorist in a moment of apparent road rage is being hunted by police.
The incident happened at about 1pm on Sunday, January 11, on York Road in Knaresborough.
The male driver of a light green people carrier got out of his vehicle and approached the male driver of a red classic Mini and allegedly kicked his car before assaulting him .
Damage was caused to the Mini and the victim was injured, although details have not been released.
Police are urging witnesses to come forward, including the driver of a green Vauxhall Tigra that was ahead of the two vehicles and the driver of a white car that was following them.
Two pedestrians were also present at the time and witnessed the incident .
The alleged offender is described as male, white and in his 30s , around 6ft 2in tall, with short dark brown hair. He was wearing a cream coloured jumper at the time . Also in his vehicle was an older male, a woman and young boy .
