A SPECIAL visitor brought some right Royal dignity to the normally madcap world of the panto.
Princess Beatrice dropped in on the Theatre Royal in York this evening (Tuesday, December 9), to meet the cast and crew of upcoming show Old Mother Goose.
And veteran panto favourite Berwick Kaler and his colourful team took a break from their dress rehearsals to share some stage secrets with their Royal visitor.
Princess Beatrice, who has been a patron of the theatre since June last year, was also shown the plans for the venue’s future redevelopment, the first it has undergone in some 50 years.
Old Mother Goose will open at York Theatre Royal on December 11.
