THE region’s most senior churchman is turning to the digital world to celebrate Advent.
The Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu, will tweet daily messages from @JohnSentamu about how to prepare for Christmas with Gospel readings for the day available from his website.
Dr Sentamu said: “I love Advent – it’s a wonderful season of watching and waiting for signs of God’s justice.
“Every day until Christmas Eve, I will be tweeting in the morning and the evening beseeching you to join me in listening to Jesus’ invitation to follow him.”
The Archbishop’s online calendar for the Gospel readings of the day will be available at archbishopofyork.org/pages/advent-calendar-2014.html until December 24.
