ANTIQUES worth £5,000 have been stolen from a shop.
York Police are appealing for information after the antiques were stolen from a store on Stonegate in the city.
Thieves broke into the glass display cabinet at some point between Thursday, September 18 and Wednesday, September 24 and stole a number of silver and pewter objects.
The items stolen included a:
• William Hutton and Sons silver and enamel photo frame
• Liberty and Co Tudric pewter inkwell
• Omar Ramsden hand-crafted silver jam spoon
• Omar Ramsden hand-hammered silver dish with a Tudor rose to the centre
Police are appealing to anyone, including antique dealers and collectors who may have been offered the items for sale, or know of their whereabouts, to contact them.
