Horse killed in lorry crash
A HORSE has been killed in a crash with a lorry on a dual carriageway.
The horse was struck at 8.45am on the eastbound carriageway of the A64, between the Grimston Bar and Hopgrove Roundabout, east of York.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said a vet was called to the scene and pronounced the horse dead.
Motorists have been advised to expect disruption until the incident is cleared and to avoid the area if possible.
