MOTORISTS are being urged to provide details of a car which overtook an ambulance responding to an emergency call.
The driver of a grey Volkswagen Golf is wanted over allegations of careless driving after passing the Yorkshire Ambulance Service vehicle on the B6165, on the approach to Burnt Yates, between Pateley Bridge and Harrogate.
The Volkswagen then overtook at least one other vehicle before pulling over for the ambulance as it caught up at Bedlam, between 5.30pm and 6.30pm on Wednesday, August 13.
The car then followed the ambulance to Ripley, where it turned off towards Knaresborough.
The ambulance continued its journey towards Harrogate.
Officers are appealing to anyone who saw either vehicle travelling along the B6165 to call 101 or email gary.anderson@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk
