POLICE are trying to track down a street thug – after he attacked a car with his head.

The man approached the driver’s side of a red VW Golf when it was stopped at the traffic lights at the junction of Melrosegate and Hull Road in York.

He then head-butted the side window and smashed it, leaving the shocked 17-year-old driver of the car with a cut to his arm.

The suspect was in his early 20s, with tanned skin, short black hair, around 6ft tall and of medium build. He was wearing a grey jacket with red sleeves and dark coloured trousers. He was with another man who had blonde curly hair and he was wearing a dark jacket with grey sleeves.

The incident happened at about 9.45pm on April 4 and officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed what happened or can help identify the suspect.
