A MAJOR music festival is being held in Whitby in autumn, which will tour surrounding villages in North Yorkshire.
The 19th Musicport Festival runs from October 19 to 21 at Whitby Pavilion before visiting nearby communities.
Acts so far confirmed include Vieux Farka Toure from Mali, dubbed the Hendrix of the Sahara, UK Reggae artist Natty, Afro-jazz and fusion star Erna Chimp and Swedish folk band Kolonien and Celtic punk band The Whiskey Priests.
Ahead of the event in Whitby this autumn, there will be a smaller scale festival, Musicport On the Moors, from May 4 to 7 at Goathland’s new community venue, The Hut. There will be on-site camping, street food and workshops over the four day event.
