A 25 year-old woman was rescued by fire crews after becoming stuck in mud at Upgang Ravine in Whitby. Three fire crews from Whitby, Lythe and Robin Hoods Bay were called out to help the woman, who was trapped waist deep in the mud at 2.13pm today. They used a ladder, salvage sheet, and mud lance to pull the woman to safety. She was then checked over by ambulance crews who were also called out, no further update was available on her condition.
